The Intimate Act of Creating Performance Ritual:
Exploring Kink, Gender Expression & Devotion
This intensive provides the opportunity to clarify what you want in an intimate dance connection. It’s a safe and permission giving space to explore your edges of expression around sexuality, Dominance/submission, and gender. Our time together will unveil the ways being socialized as a woman can distance us from our desires (often in an effort to appear strong) and the ways being socialized as a man can distance us from our desires (often in an effort to appear safe.) We will be guided through a process to explore our sexual and gender journey and invite us to name what’s next on the path.
How can community deepen our dance partnerships and vice versa? How do we let our intimate lives be seen and be in contribution to a larger community? Performance is a way for partnership to exist in the presence, witness, and support of community. It invites the “seeing” of the community to reflect, deepen, and honor the relationship. It invites the duet to be conscious, intentional, and generous by offering a dance that reveals truth, courage, and perhaps catharsis.
Come willing to partner with a new person or bring an intimate collaborator!
